Right after getting accordion lessons, which aided me to learn how to play the accordion, I started performing with a neighborhood folk band. I find performing live music in front of other people the best pleasant aspect of being a musician. Thankfully the accordion is just not generally the lead instrument so the other members belonging to the group cover my lack of skill.
We play and perform locally and try and do a number of charity events through the year as well. We have terrific fun playing mostly cover versions of well regarded folk tunes but we also have composed a number of our very own tunes. I would suggest the accordion to anyone as I find it a very fulfilling instrument to perform.
However most certainly get some good accordion lessons if feasible or obtain the online course I got as your progress in learning it will be extremely slow otherwise and may perhaps put you off playing the instrument.
