Pharmacy Technician Certification Expectations

Posted on August 15th, 2010 by admin

With the rapid advancement in medicine, many individuals who failed to get positive results in their healthcare needs would want to file malpractice lawsuits right away. If lawsuits are filed, pharmacists can argue that they are more than capable in doing their jobs satisfactorily because of their license and extensive trainings. For pharmacy technicians, their proof of their level of competence is the pharmacy technician certification that they’ve been awarded with.
Simply because pharmacists and other employers consider Pharma Tech Certification as an important factor in determining who to hire for a position, pharmacy technicians should also view their certification the same way. Although a high school diploma or its equivalent is the only requirement to be a pharmacy technician, different State Pharmacy Boards will soon require all pharmacy technicians be formally trained and certified first.
