Is there a home phone system without an answering system?

I want to use the voicemail serivce of AT&T. I can’t find a home system that doesn’t have digital answering. Though I can turn off the answering system on the phone, I then lose the message indicator light provided by AT&T. Help!

Your are talking about old fashioned or cheap phones. But they wont have and indicator.

Is there a phone system that will allow us to transfer between handsets with only one phone line?

Is it possible to have a phone system in a house where you can answer a phone in one room, and if the phone call is for someone else in another room, we would like to be able to inform that person that they have a call. Do they make phone systems like that? Thanks in advance!

Yes I have a AT&T CL82509 DECT 6.0 Five Handset Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Device and Caller ID and that alows you to transfer calls you can also both talk to the incomming caller at the same time

What kind of business phone system do I need?

I want to install a phone system at my office with 8 lines but have each of those eight lines available to each of the five rooms in my office. With eight seperate numbers, in which anyone of the five people in their office can answer those individual lines. Someone from ATT told me centrex would not be suitable, that I need multi-line telephones, but I can’t find phones that offer more than four lines. Please help.
