Im looking for a good surround sound system I mean a system that makes you seem like you are in the theater. I recently had a very good system and it was my baby and Unfortuantely someone who visited my house cut my wires to all four speakers and the subwoofer. I looked in the stores for the same system and its not available any more. Any suggestions?

Why not just replace the wires? A spool of speaker cable, and maybe some new clips, is a whole lot cheaper than buying a whole new system – which would still require you buy wire anyways.

If the wires can’t be replaced then I guarantee that it wasn’t a very good system to begin with and you’ll be better off buying a proper system with separate speakers and a receiver.

As for what the "best" system is, that’s a rather tough question to answer… You easily spend twenty, fifty, even one hundred thousand dollars on a set of speakers, but you might also be happy with a set of speakers that’s only a few hundred dollars.

To go shopping for speakers, head to the store with a favorite music CD and DVD movie. This will allow you to sample the speakers with material that you’re very familiar with. What you’re listening for is a speaker that sounds good at both high and low volumes. The high and low pitched sounds should be clear – not tinny or muddled.

I’m getting a 2008 dodge avenger within a week and i want to put a really good sound system in it. I’m think about putting 2 700 watt alpine subs in it and a 1500 kicker amp. Would that be any good? I need some suggestions. I am willing to pay up to $600 for it.

a good system is all relative. some people love alpine, some hate it. some people swear by what others think is the cheapest crap they’ve ever had. I like alpine. If you’re gonna go that route i would only get a type R or type X(if you have the money). no type S or type E. just my opinion. the kicker amp is cool. you can also look into other brands that are low key but well built such as mach 5 audio, resonant engineering, Fi, incriminator audio. a lot of people have never heard of these if they’re not into car audio, but when they hear it they will want a piece. hopes this helps

I have a 2006 Toyota Rav4 and would like to put a better sound system in it. What is pretty good but under $500? I don’t want to compete or anything, just make it sound better. I don’t know anything about this, so what all should I get?

well it depends if u want it to be loud, or a clean sound

if u want it to be loud go with some type of Alpine amp, and eather get Alpine or Kicker subs

if u want a clean sound, still go with a Alpine or a small rockford amp, and get some Eclipse subs

in my car i had kickers, eclipse, and alpine, and i happen to like alpine the best but thats just me, u decide wat type of sound u like but i would go with one of those 3.
