Is it possible to have a phone system in a house where you can answer a phone in one room, and if the phone call is for someone else in another room, we would like to be able to inform that person that they have a call. Do they make phone systems like that? Thanks in advance!

Yes I have a AT&T CL82509 DECT 6.0 Five Handset Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Device and Caller ID and that alows you to transfer calls you can also both talk to the incomming caller at the same time

   i do not know why you would want to purchace and install a phone system at the cost of around $1000 (give or take depending on model and features) if you only have one phone line…

   most DECT phones have an intercom feature… and will allow you to transfer a call to a specific handset…

   then there are small business phones that have integrated phone system features – available @ staples.. but they come in 2 line and 4 line models…
