Smoking cigarettes reduces longevity noticeably

Posted on June 8th, 2010 by admin

The main health problems smoking cigarettes pertain to ailments within the cardiovascular system, in particular heart attack, cardiovascular illness, diseases in the respiratory tract including Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD), bronchial asthma, emphysema, and cancer, particularly lung cancer and cancers of the larynx and tongue.

Someone’s greater risk of contracting problems is directly proportional to how long that the person proceeds to smoke in addition to the quantity smoked. However, when someone stops smoking cigarettes, then these odds gradually lessen because injury to their body is fixed. 1 year after quitting tobacco, the risk of contracting cardiovascular disease is 50 percent that of a ongoing smoker. The health hazards of using tobacco are not uniform across all people who smoke. Hazards fluctuate in accordance with amount of tobacco smoked, with those who smoke cigarettes more at larger risk. Light smoking is still a health risk. Similarly, it doesn’t decrease the risks.

I learned a very easy way to quit smoking that I feel every smoker should learn. After years of trying everything, this finally worked. Check out my site for details.
