The Blue Jays manager, Cito Gaston has less than 2 months still left in his managerial career. His only regret is that he is convinced the next few years with the Blue Jays could be a great deal of fun and if he were younger he would remain on.
Angels manager, Mike Scioscia asked Gaston what he would do. Cito responded that he wished he were younger so he could hang in there. He said he believes that the Blue Jays are moving up swiftly and will be a lot of fun in the next three years. Gaston believes that he is getting a little old to be around.
In January of this year, Gaston made the decision to retire at the conclusion of this year. He was quoted saying he still enjoys managing and is feeling good. He doesn’t regret the decision to retire.
Cito will be 67 next year and states he still has some things to do while he can still walk.
Gaston doesn`t know who will replace him as manager but believes that he is leaving the Toronto Blue Jays in capable hands.
