TELEFUNKEN has a …
TELEFUNKEN has a rich, highly respected history of producing some incredible sounding TUBES, which are still ‘lusted after’ in the audiophile community!

Nice hi-fi …
Nice hi-fi equipment!
Did you know that TELEFUNKEN used to make some of the most incredible sounding tubes, which are highly sought after currently by audiophiles (I have them in my old FISHER tubed receiver/amp)? Once you listen to tubes, you will not want to go back to solid state electronics. Anyway, enjoy your equipment and music.

Play trim? does that adjust the azimuth or something?

Personally I …
Personally I absolutely HATE amplifiers without tone controls. For pure good sound you can turn all controls to zero and the loudness off. Some amps also offer a defeat switch wich bypasses all these contols. My father has one of these basic high end stereo systems, the Cyrus Two system.
Also, that Telefunken amp is not my main amplifier. Back them I had better amps I used a lot more often. And now I’m not using this amp at all.

It can be remote controlled but the control for that was an optional accessory wich I didn’t get with the unit.

Does the Yamaha tape deck have a remote control?

I believe most …
I believe most European countries use 9 KHZ steps on AM, I think the only countries that use 10 KHZ steps are Japan and America, and I’m going to assume that FM tuner tunes in .5 MHZ steps.

aha! I’ll check …
aha! I’ll check that out. I want to see if Germany uses even or odd khz frequencies on FM.

When …
Thank you!
When I set up that system, I had no antenna, so the Telefunken tuner had bad reception
In one of my newer videos, you can see the tuner operating with an antenna hooked up: “Telefunken Grundig Sharp stereo system”

I love this! I love …
I love this! I love tapedecks! ” and another cassette deck…” Oh those words, I never thought they’d be spoken after the eighties!
Congrats for representing the Telefunken stuff, it’s a change from the usual Japanese stuff.
You might need an antenna for that bad reception, eh?!
Love that SONY multiband tuner
Keep on making them videos, yessir!

The amplifier and …
The amplifier and the tuner have a good quality, but they are made somewhere in Japan or China. Telefunken was a German brand and it was one of the first German brands wich produced radios. I think Telefunken was existing from around 1910 until around 1992. Today Telefunken is not existing anymore, only the name is used for LCD televisions and stuff like that. In the town I live in, we had a factory of telefunken, they produced televisions there.

I have a cheap Telefunken TCD38 portable Stereo system that I bought 2 years ago, the unit was made in China. The unit works well, but the build quality is not very good at all. Are Telefunken originally from Gemany? Are they still in business? I like your videos, thanks.

That’s some nice …
That’s some nice vintage audio! The play trim thing on the Telefunken cassette deck is nice, you can increase treble on muffled tapes.
